With a prosthesis, he played basketball and football in high school, and last year, he passed his local fire department’s daunting physical exam. Officials said he couldn’t serve, so he challenged the ruling. Now, New Jersey’s state Merit Board has found him capable to serve, and he soon will start his training.”

Wired Magazine’s March issue (*click on the link to watch him run, its amazing) covered a story about Oscar Pistorius:

“Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1986, with … two toes on each of his tiny foot… [and]…each leg missing a fibula.”

His parents made the painful decision to amputate his lower legs. Now he runs the 200 meters in 21.34 seconds just missing the qualifying time for the 2008 Olympics. “Pritorius is forcing the sports world to rethink what it means to be a disabled athlete.”

So what is holding you back from achieving your dreams? What is the reason you can not get the promotion you want or lose that last twenty pounds?

I have worked with people who have spent years telling me they want to lose weight, but, when it came down to doing the work, it was someone’s or something’s fault.
